CANDLELIT MAYFLOWER PRESENTS- NIGHT OF 400 CANDLES – Follow the lanterns
St Saviour’s Church will be lit up with lanterns & candles for a special Mayflower festival night, the bells will ring out, there will be music and song, steaming Mayflower soup with crusty bread plus a special grog
A grand Mayflower Lantern Ship will lead the Candlelit parade supported by smaller boats made by families and children to mark the start of the Mayflower 400 celebrations.
Dartmouth is one of the 13 Mayflower Towns that are creating trails that will tell their unique part in the Mayflower Story. Dartmouth’s Mayflower Heritage Trail will paint a picture of 17th century Dartmouth, as it was when the Mayflower and Speedwell were at anchor in the river in 1620.
